Berea College is the only school in the United States that provides full funding to all enrolled international students during their first year. This combination of financial aid and scholarships helps to cover the costs of tuition, room, and board.

• For the first year of enrollment, Berea College provides 100% funding to all enrolled international students. This combination of financial aid and scholarships helps to cover the costs of tuition, room, and board.
• International students are expected to save $1,000 per year in subsequent years to contribute to their expenses. International students can fulfill this requirement by working during the summer at the Berea College Scholarships USA.
• To confirm their enrollment, accepted international students pay a US$50 entrance fee and a US$2,200 deposit. This deposit can be used for specific expenses by international students during their four years of enrollment. Additional financial aid is available for students who are unable to pay the entire or a portion of the deposit.
• Throughout the academic year, all international students are provided with a paid on-campus job through the College’s Work Program. Students may spend their earnings.

Berea College Scholarships USA Eligibility Criteria

Applicants to Berea College must be students with strong academic potential and financial needs. The majority of Berea College students have an ACT (or SAT equivalent) score of 20 to 30 and a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.0 in a strong college prep curriculum. Students can take either the ACT or the SAT.

3. Copies of official secondary school certificates: All secondary school records, university transcripts, matriculation exams, and other leaving exams required by your country must be included. Academic records should be translated into English and certified by school officials.
