Eligibility Criteria for Chicana Latina Foundation scholarships

To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must:

1. Identify as a Chicana or a Latina.
2. A female student who has lived in one of the following Northern California counties for at least two years and is enrolled in an accredited college in one of the following counties at the time of application: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, SF, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sacramento, Yolo, or Sonoma.
3. Undergraduate and community college students must:
   • Be enrolled as a full-time college student (as defined by the institution) when applying and for the following academic year,
   • Must have completed 12 college units after high school graduation, and
   • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 in college coursework
4. Graduate students:
   • Must be enrolled graduate/professional students completing course/thesis/dissertation, or have been accepted into graduate/professional school; and
   • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 for college coursework
5. Applicant must make a commitment to attend the CLF Leadership Institute (August 5-7th, 2022, December 2022, and February 2023)
6. Commit to volunteering 10 hours as a CLF ambassador by March of the year following your selection.
7. Make a commitment to attend the CLF Annual Awards Dinner in January 2024.

Documents Required

1. College transcripts of all colleges you have attended as you are completing your current degree (it can be unofficial)
2. Graduate students must also submit a resume or CV (curriculum vitae, a written summary of an individual’s experience, and other qualifications).
3. CLF has decided to waive the two letters of recommendation this year based on student feedback. Therefore, you will no longer need to send a request to submit your application as of April 6th.

Enrollment Requirement: Undergrad: Full-time, while Graduate: HALF-TIME
