- Login to your YouTube account
- At the top right-hand side of the page, select Create
Create a post,
- In the box at the top:
- Type a message to create a text post or add text to an image, GIF, or video post.
- Choose to create a video, image, or poll
- Select Post/upload a video to complete posting the video,
- Then, click ‘Select files’ to find the video file saved on your computer. Or, you can drag and drop the video into the window.
- Publish your video now. However, you can also choose to post on a scheduled date.

To schedule a community post on Youtube, follow the steps below:
- Sign in to YouTube.
- At the top of the page, select Create post, that is, by clicking on the video icon at the top right-hand side of the page

Video Posts

Please keep in mind that community posts about a video that is already in a viewer’s Subscription or Home feed may not be displayed again. This option prevents viewers from seeing the same video multiple times.
Playlist posts
If you have Community posts enabled, you can share playlists from artists you like.
Copy the URL of the playlist you want to share. When creating your Community post, paste the playlist URL into the text field.
Text Posts
To make a text post, type your message into the text box on your channel’s Community tab. You can post your text alone or alongside a video, image, or GIF. Text posts and polls cannot be combined.
Images and GIFs posts
You can include up to 5 images in your post. Select images or animated GIFs from your computer by clicking on the image.
Guideline
Follow the guideline for posting images or gifs on the youtube community:
- Maximum file size: 16 MB
- JPG, PNG, GIF, or WEBP files are acceptable.
- We recommend a 1:1 aspect ratio because that is how images appear in the feed. By clicking to expand the image, viewers can see the entire image.

Polls
If you choose to include a poll in your post, you will be asked to:
- In the text box, type a question.
- Fill in the “Add option” fields with your responses.
