The Dr. Gussie M. Ware Memorial Scholarship is available to Black women pursuing their first undergraduate degree. You must be a high school senior or GED recipient with a GPA of at least 2.5, a resident of Winnebago County, Illinois, or related to Dr. Ware in order to apply.

The American Planning Association offers the Judith McManus Price Scholarship to women and students from minority groups who demonstrate financial need and wish to pursue careers in planning.

To qualify;
- students must be enrolled in a Planning Accreditation Board-approved program.
- Applicants must submit a two-page personal statement describing their interest in planning as well as how their education relates to their career objectives.

3. The Phyllis G. Meekins Scholarship
Who Can Apply:
This scholarship, administered by the Ladies Professional Golf Association, is open to female high school seniors who intend to play collegiate golf while pursuing a degree. Every year, two of these need-based scholarships are granted to minority students.

5. The Wynetta Frazier Sister-to-Sister Scholarship
Who Can Apply/Eligibility criteria: The National Hook-Up of Black Women is the sponsor of this scholarship. African American women whose education has been hampered by family or other obligations are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and in their first or second year of college.

6. UNCF Healthcare Workforce Diversity Program
The UNCF Healthcare Workforce Diversity Program, sponsored by the AbbVie Foundation, aims to reduce the racial imbalance in the health care industry by providing financial, academic, and career support to Black students majoring in the field. Both high school seniors and college students are eligible for the scholarship.
Who Is Eligible? To apply, you must be enrolled in a certificate program or an associate degree program at an accredited institution and want to work in a STEM field related to health care. 7. James W. Stoudt Memorial Scholarship
The James W. Stoudt Memorial Scholarship is awarded by the Pennsylvania Bar Association to two minority law students each year.
Who Is Eligible?: To apply, you must be a Black, Hispanic, or Native American student in good academic standing at one of Pennsylvania’s nine accredited law schools. You’ll also need to write an essay about what contributions you hope to make in the legal profession or in your community, as well as provide references.

8. Dr. Barbara Odom-Wesley Spirit of Achievement Scholarship
Who Is Can Apply: Applicants must be African American female seniors in Tarrant County or Grand Prairie, Texas. This scholarship may be used at any two- or four-year college or university.

9. Geoscience IDEA Scholarship
The Geoscience IDEA Scholarship is available to black women studying geoscience or earth science. The Association for Women Geoscientists (AWG) offers this scholarship to promote diversity in the geosciences by matching scholarship recipients with AWG mentors.
Scholarship recipients may reapply for future years of funding, and even unsuccessful applicants may be eligible for a one-year sponsored AWG student membership or placement with an AWG mentor.
