Rotary Global Foundation scholarships offer scholarships worth more than 7.5 million USD annually to develop leaders of the next generation and assist their philanthropic objectives.

Rotary Foundation Global Scholarships and Grants
The Rotary Foundation Global Grants program provides scholarship funding. The scholarships cover graduate-level coursework or research for one to four academic years.
Types of Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship Grants
There are two types of Rotary global foundation scholarships. There are as follows:
- Rotary clubs: These offer scholarships for secondary, undergraduate, or graduate study.
Individual clubs award Rotary club scholarships, which are open to anyone except Rotary members and their families. For application information and eligibility requirements, please contact your local club. Click here to find your local Rotary club.
2. The Rotary Foundation: These offer scholarships for college graduates and professionals to study peace and conflict resolution.

Scholarships Host Institution(s)
Any approved university in a country with a host Rotary club or district that is not the applicant’s home country.
Rotary Foundation Global Scholarships Level/Field of Study
Graduate-level coursework or research in one of Rotary’s six focus areas: peace and conflict resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, economic and community development.

Scholarship Target group
The Rotary Global Foundation scholarships target non-Rotarians sponsored by Rotary District or Clubs.
Scholarship Worths/Inclusions
The minimum budget for a global grant scholarship is $30,000, which can cover the following expenses:
- tuition,
- passport/visa,
- immunizations, and
- travel expenses (as specified in the grant terms and conditions),
- School supplies,
- room, and board,
- household supplies,
- language training courses (but not if university admission is contingent on improvement of language skills).
However, the majority of personal and miscellaneous expenses are not covered by the scholarship funding.
Eligibility Criteria
The Rotary Foundation Global Grants have simple and specific requirements that are based on the applicant’s project. The project of an eligible applicant must:
- Have a long-term and sustainable social impact
- Address a critical issue identified by the community.
- Includes activities that are consistent with the beliefs of the foundations.
- Maintain a minimum budget of 30,000 USD.
Candidates must also meet the following academic requirements:
- Minimum academic credentials and performance
- Personal, academic, or professional examples of high ethical standards
- Language abilities (the language of the study country or instruction)
- Excellent public speaking and interpersonal communication abilities

How To Apply for Rotary Foundation Global Scholarships
Below are the rotary foundation scholarship application instructions and processes:
Interested applicants should use the Rotary Club Locator to contact their local Rotary clubs to find out how they can be sponsored for the grant.
Online applications for global grants are accepted. The initial application is created by the sponsor clubs or districts, and the scholar candidate then completes the scholar profile online.
Global grant scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, but they must be submitted at least three months before the scholar’s intended departure date to allow enough time for the Foundation to review and process the application. **Each Rotary Club/District may have its own timetable.

Selection Process
The Rotary Foundation Global Grants have its own committee of selection:
- Grant decisions are based on application forms and additional interviews with shortlisted candidates.
- The committee will specify whether the interview will take place in person or via live video conference at the start of the process. The time and date are also confirmed.
